The May Roundtable will take place at our regular meeting place/time on Thursday, May 3rd. After last month’s hiatus due to the Adult Recognition Dinner (Thanks to all who came, by the way.), there is a lot to cover.
First, you may or may not be aware that National has produced a new Youth Protection training program (available via my.scouting.org) and ALL REGISTERED ADULTS are required to complete by October 1st. Chuck Swanson is going to give you the skinny on what to expect and how to prep for it. Take it from one who has already taken the training, it is much improved over past iterations and meets every state’s requirements for certification.
According to Mark Thielen (Manatee District Training Chair), several of you have been busy working on leveling up your skillsets. He will be recognizing them during the general session and just like any recognition ceremony, it is so much better when you have your peers in attendance to cheer you on.
And, of course, the breakout sessions are always good for learning new things to take back to your units.
Hope to see a lot of you there!
Thursday, May 3rd; 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.
